Students will engage in the cleanup and beautification of African Cemetery No. 2. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, African Cemetery No. 2 is full of history and is the resting place of some of the most notable Black Kentuckians.
Online event registration closes, Friday, September 4 at 10:00 p.m. EST. Volunteers will meet on the day of the event in the Bill Gatton Student Center Lot: Located off Avenue of Champions. A bus will bring the volunteers to the service site.
COVID 19 Update: Physical distancing guidelines will be utilized and communicated for the safety of our participants, event volunteers, and student organization groups. Masks that cover the nose and mouth will be required. Non-compliance with health safety measures and proper mask-wearing will result in participants being asked to leave the event or refused entry to the event.
