Mystery Service Saturday: September

Saturday, September 12th, 2020 from 8:30am to 1:00pm (ET)

Mystery Service Saturdays (MSS) are a new initiative from Service & Community Engagement in the Office of Student Organizations and Activities, and we're so excited to introduce them to you! These events will consist of two main parts & transportation is provided
  • Education, Direct Service and Reflection with a nonprofit organization in the Lexington, KY area
  • A social component that, for this particular MSS occurrence, will include FOOD!
Our goal for these events is to introduce UK students to a new, surprise community partner, and to engage in education/reflection and direct service around a particular social issue. If you do decide to sign up for the event (instructions on how to do so below), you will be notified ONE WEEK PRIOR to the event what the service and social aspects will be. However, you will not know the name of the organization or what the site of the social event is until the day of service. Though we want to keep these events as ~mysterious~ as possible, we also want them to be as accessible as possible! That said, if you sign up for the event and would like to know more sooner than a week in advance, please reach out to us at and we're happy to share the details of the event location. If you do sign up for the event, please know that you are able to change your mind at ANY time. You are under no obligation to join us at any stage, we just ask that if you are going to opt out that you let us know as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours in advance of the event so that we can fill your spot and fulfill our promise to our community partners. THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THE SEPTEMBER EDITION OF MYSTERY SERVICE SATURDAYS:
